Hey ya'll! Today I am 23 Weeks Pregnant today with a baby girl, and only 17 weeks left of my second pregnancy. It's crazy how fast this pregnancy is going by, I'm already in my 6th month of pregnancy! I have been absolutely loving documenting my pregnancy, sharing my experiences, and showing off things that I have been purchasing for sweet Laney Ann.
In this weeks pregnancy vlog, I am going over my symptoms for 23 weeks of pregnancy including my sciatic nerve pain, an update on my restless leg syndrome, and my current and total weight gain for my pregnancy so far. I also am sharing the pregnancy app's that I'm using right now including a new one that I just discovered and have been enjoying. I'm not sure how accurate these app's are, but they are fun to look at and read through. I have been feeling baby move a lot more this week, and am hoping that's a sign that she's growing more. I touch on fundal height and uterus size. I'm not exactly sure how to measure or how big mine is, but I've definitely been feeling for it and doing some research on it.

This week went by so incredibly fast. Not much went on pregnancy symptoms wise, I've actually been feeling pretty great with a few speed bumps at night and in the evenings. I had my Anatomy Scan this week which was pretty nerve wracking and emotional, as well as my routine monthly check up. If you are new to my blog, you can catch up on my pregnancy journey with baby number two by watching my Pregnancy Vlogs Playlist for weekly pregnancy updates, products I've purchased, and weekly bump shots.
Pregnancy symptoms for this week are mainly to do with sleeping at night. My sciatic nerve pain is still going strong, but thankfully hasn't gotten to be extremely painful yet. It's more of a nagging ache in my lower back and in the center of my left butt cheek that seems to start in the afternoons after I've been on my feet all day. My restless leg syndrome (RLS) has gotten worse this week and seems to be getting stronger each week which is no surprise. My pregnancy insomnia has already started and I've been having a really hard time falling asleep at night. For the past three nights it's taken me until 2:30AM to fall asleep. Looks like I'm going to be getting a lot of reading done from here on out because I can't just lay there and wish myself to sleep, that only seems to make my other symptoms worse at the same time. Getting comfortable when it's time to go to sleep has been a bit of a challenge as well. My belly has been feeling heavier so laying on my back is out of the question, and laying completely on my sides doesn't seem to help either. The only way I can get somewhat comfortable is to oddly enough lay sort of on my stomach. I can't lay completely on my stomach, so I sort of lay in-between my left side and stomach if that makes sense.
I had my anatomy scan this week, and it was a pretty emotional day. During the first part of the scan the ultrasound tech checked my cervix, which is nice and long, as well as my placenta. I do in fact has an anterior placenta, which I figured I had if you watched my 20 Weeks Pregnancy Update last week. Based on the scan, baby's anatomy looks great, but she's measuring on average about two weeks small. The tech spent a good amount of time on the brain, and that is fully formed thankfully. She also spent a lot of time checking babies heart to make sure it was fully formed and functioning properly. We were able to see clearly all four chambers, and her heart rate was beating steadily at 139 BPM. Baby started out laying in a transverse position, and by the end of the scan was breach, so she's very active. Towards the end of the scan after noticing that she was measuring small, the ultrasound tech checked the blood flow and oxygen levels in the umbilical cord and in baby's brain. Both looked fine and were doing their jobs. The doctor told me that since the anatomy looks good, that there's no need to worry at the moment about baby's size, and that in six weeks I will have an additional scan to check her growth and remeasure.
Even though the doctor told me everything looked fine, it still made me sad and nervous to hear that my baby was measuring small. I ended up having a little melt down that evening about it and decided to give the doctor a call again the next morning for extra reassurance. I was able to speak with my doctors medical assistant who went over my scan with me. She said that anatomically my baby looks great, and that she's measuring on average two weeks small. She assured me that if the ultrasound tech was concerned about anything going on with my baby anatomically, health wise, or if she suspected any sort of abnormality, that they would have done more testing and requested I do blood work. After hearing that, I felt much better and more at peace about it. I've been doing research about babies measuring small at their 20 week anatomy scans, and surprising almost everything I've read has been positive!

If you don't follow me on any of those platforms, you may not know that I am pregnant! I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with baby number two and am due on September 30, 2016. I have been documenting my pregnancy by filming pregnancy vlogs that I have been uploading weekly on my channel. I have a whole pregnancy playlist saved of all the pregnancy related videos I have done so far if you want to check those out.
In my pregnancy vlogs, I am doing weekly pregnancy updates where I go over my pregnancy symptoms, pregnancy weight gain, show of my growing pregnant belly, as well as maternity products and baby clothing and items that I have been purchasing and loving that week. I have had a ton of fun filming these videos and putting them together. I love watching pregnancy vlogs and mommy vlogs myself, so it felt very natural for me to document this pregnancy myself.
My first pregnancy vlog was my Pregnancy Announcement video where I shared my exciting pregnancy news, as well as my story and journey with getting pregnant with baby number two. This pregnancy is actually my third pregnancy. I had gotten pregnant a second time in September 2015, but sadly was diagnosed with a blighted ovum when I went in for my viability scan at 9 weeks pregnant. If you have ever suffered a missed miscarriage, a blighted ovum, or a miscarriage at any time in your life, you are not alone and I understand how you feel. You can watch that video, and hear all about pregnancy journey, as well as my blighted ovum story in my Pregnancy Announcement video down below.
My second video was my 14 Weeks Pregnancy Update, making it to the second trimester of pregnancy, as well as an overview of my first trimester. In this pregnancy vlog, I go over my pregnancy symptoms from the moment I found out I was pregnant, all the way through 14 weeks of pregnancy. I also go over my pregnancy do's and don't's and show off my growing baby bump. You can watch my 14 Weeks Pregnant - First Trimester Update in the video down below.
My third pregnancy vlog was my 15 Weeks Pregnant Update. This video includes my pregnancy symptoms for the week, products I had been loving at the time, as well as my growing pregnant belly. If you are interested in watching my 15 Weeks Pregnant Update, click the video down below.
My fourth pregnancy vlog was all about my 16th week of pregnancy. In this pregnancy video, I go over my 16 week pregnancy symptoms, old wives tales pertaining to gender as well as the gender reveal, and share products I had purchased and loved for the week. If you are interested in knowing all about my 16th week of pregnancy, you can watch my 16 Weeks Pregnant Update down below.
My fifth pregnancy vlog was my 17 Weeks Pregnancy Update. In this video I go over my routine doctors appointment with my OBGYN including what happens at my routine pregnancy appointments, my weight gain for the past month and total weight gain for the pregnancy so far, as well as the baby's heart rate. I also go over new and recurring pregnancy symptoms, show off my growing belly, and share recent baby clothes I had purchased after finding out the gender as well as clothes I had purchased for myself to keep my big belly cool in the summer. If you are interested in watch my 17 Weeks Pregnancy Vlog, the video is listed down below.
My sixth, and most recent, pregnancy vlog is my 18 Week Pregnancy Update. In this video I go over my usual topics such as pregnancy symptoms, show off my growing belly, and share with you a baby haul and clothing I have purchased for myself to get my through the heat of the summer here in Houston. I have some really great dresses that are not maternity, but will be perfect for my growing belly. I am a firm believer that you don't have to buy a whole new maternity wardrobe to get you through your pregnancy. There are a lot of great options that are non-maternity, that work perfectly at fitting a pregnant belly. If you are interested in my maternity and pregnancy shopping tips, as well as my 17 Weeks Pregnant Update, watch my video down below.
I am so excited about this pregnancy and have been loving sharing my journey with not only my friends and family, but my fellow preggo's out there! I post a new pregnancy vlog and pregnancy update every Friday going over my pregnancy symptoms, pregnancy experiences, pregnancy tips, my growing pregnant belly, as well as my favorites pregnancy products, baby clothes and baby products, and pregnancy fashion, maternity clothing, and non-maternity clothes to keep you looking pretty and fashionable despite your weight gain and growing belly throughout your pregnancy. Today's review is going to be on the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette retails for $45 and includes six brand new Urban Decay Blush shades. The blush palette is currently available online at UrbanDecayCosmetics.com, and will be sold in stores at Sephora and Ulta in the near future. Each blush pan contains about 0.1 ounces which is a little less than half the amount of product in the Urban Decay Afterglow blushes (0.23 ounces), and half the amount of product in the Becca blushes (0.2 ounces). Do the math, and you're getting close to three full sized blushes in this palette which is a really great value.
The packaging is identical to the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, except this palette is all white, and the eyeshadow palette is black. They are the exact same size, same magnetic closure, and the same oversized mirror. The packaging is sturdy and perfect for traveling.
There are six blush shades in The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette, with three satin-matte finishes (Cherry, Lo-Fi, and OC) and three shimmer shades (Easy, Angel, and Hush). The three satin-matte blushes aren't completely matte, and have a slight sheen to them rather than a shimmer. They remind me a lot of the Becca blushes because they give a soft glow to the cheeks without any glitter or shimmer. The three shimmer shades do not have any chunky glitter what so ever, and instead are glowy and shimmery similar to a highlighter. All six blushes are very soft and silky smooth. The shimmer blush shades do have a little texture to them, and aren't as silky as the satin matte shades, but are still very soft. All six blushes are a bit powdery, and you can really see that after you dip your brush in them. I know that can be a big drawback for some, but that sort of thing doesn't bother me at all. The blushes are a sheer to medium coverage, and are buildable which I really like. I would much rather have a blush that I can build up in intesity and color, that way I have more options when it comes to how pigmented I want to go. Out of all six blushes, Easy applies the heaviest and needs the lightest hand. You only need a very small amount to get a nice wash of color with that one.
The first shade in the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush palette is Cherry. Cherry is a cool toned, bubblegum barbie pink. Second is Easy, which is a shimmery fuscia pink. The third blush is Angel which is more of a highlight, or a blush topper, rather than a blush. It is a mix between a peachy gold highlight and a champagne shade. The fourth shade, and first in the second row, is Lo-Fi which is the bronze shade in the palette. Some people may want to use this as a bronzer, but I really like these sort of shades as a blush so I'm really happy that it is in here. The fifth shade is Hush and it is a light peachy pink with gold shimmer. The sixth and final shade in the palette is OC and it is a true peach with just a hint of golden sheen. It's definitely the most unique blush in the palette, and one of my favorites.
One thing that I have really enjoyed doing is mixing different shades together. So far my favorite pairing is to apply Lo-Fi on my cheeks, pop OC right on the apples, and then pop Angel right on my cheekbones as a highlight. I think that any of the blushes can be mixed together to create custom shades and the possibilities are endless. Out of all six blushes in the Gwen Stefani Blush Palette, Angel, Lo-Fi, Hush, and OC are my favorites. Cherry and Easy are beautiful colors, but they aren't shades that I typically wear. I do see myself getting use out of them every now and then by mixing them with other shades in the palette instead of wearing them on their own.
The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette is a really great value. The palette has a ton of product, and a great variety of blush shades that are suitable for many different skin tones. Like the Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, the blush palette is high quality from the packaging to the formula. This palette is perfect if you are a beginner in makeup, if you don't have many blushes, or if you are a makeup lover like myself and like to collect really great products.
If you are interested in seeing this palette in action, I have a video review on my YouTube Channel where I demo this palette. Just click HERE to watch it and be sure to subscribe while you're there!
